Enter the mail
account name in the Display Name field. Usually this will
be your full name e.g.Tom Lewis. Don't just enter
Tom or recipients won't know which Tom the email is from.
For generic email addresses (like sales@) enter the full
email address here, e.g. sales@yourdomain.co.uk.
Click the Next button
to continue.
In the Internet
Email Address dialog box enter the actual email
address to be used. This must start with an identifier
made of normal characters and dots and must end in @
followed by your domain name. The following are legal
email addresses:
tom@yourdomain.co.uk
tomlewis@yourdomain.co.uk
tom.lewis@yourdomain.co.uk
t.tewis@yourdomain.co.uk
sales@yourdomain.co.uk
but
tom lewis@yourdomain.co.uk
isn't legal because
of the space. Note email addresses aren't case sensitive.
Click Next to continue.
In the E-mail
Server Names dialog box leave the first field as POP3,
and enter mail.itpartnership.com in both the other
fields, then press Next.
In the Mail Logon
dialog box enter your full email address in the Account
name field: i.e. in this case you would enter tom@yourdomain.co.uk.
Don't omit the @yourdomain.co.uk.
In the Password
field enter your password. We often set this to 123.
Make sure there is a tick in the Remember Passwordtick
box. Then click the Next button and Finish.
You will return
to the the Internet Accounts dialog box as below:
Select the new
entry labeled mail.itpartnerhip.com and press
the Properties button
Change the first
field on the General tab from mail.itpartnerhip.com to
the mail account name, Tom Lewis in this case
Then click on the Servers tab, and put
a tick in the My server requires authentication field,
as shown below.
Click on the Connection tab
if you need to setup how this email account connects to
the Internet.
Click OK to
save your changes and return to the Internet Accounts dialog,
and click Close to return to the Outlook
main screen. Now you can send and receive emails using
the new mail account.
